St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship
by Investment

Several countries, including St. Kitts and Nevis, have adopted programs that allow the acquisition of citizenship on the basis of an investment and/or a direct contribution to the state as a means of developing the country. At Golden Passport Agency, we offer clients the opportunity to obtain second citizenship by investing in various countries, including through St. Kitts and Nevis, Turkey, and Antigua & Barbuda.

St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program

The St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program, established in 1984, allows applicants to obtain full citizenship for themselves and their families by making an economic contribution to the country. This long-standing program is one of the most popular and respected in the world, and it continues to offer various benefits to its participants.

Legal Basis:

The legal framework for St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment is outlined in Part II, § 3 (5) of the Citizenship Act, 1984, and the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Regulations, 2011. These provisions authorize the government to grant citizenship to applicants who meet specific criteria as decided by the Cabinet.

Benefits of St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship:

  • Lifetime Citizenship: Citizenship is granted for life and can be passed down to future generations by descent.

  • Family Inclusion: You can include your spouse, children under 26, and parents over 55, along with other dependents after citizenship is granted.

  • Dual Citizenship Allowed: The country permits dual citizenship, so you can retain your original nationality while benefiting from St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship.

  • Commonwealth Membership: Citizens enjoy certain privileges within the UK and other Commonwealth countries.

  • Attractive Investment Location: St. Kitts and Nevis is an appealing location for owning a second home, offering good air links to Europe and North America.

  • No Minimum Stay: There is no requirement to live in St. Kitts and Nevis before or after acquiring citizenship.

Citizenship by Investment Options:

  1. Sustainable Island State Contribution (SISC):

    • A non-refundable contribution of USD 250,000 for an applicant and up to three dependents.

    • Additional fees apply for each qualifying dependent over 18 (USD 50,000) or under 18 (USD 25,000).

  2. Approved Public Benefit Project:

    • A non-refundable contribution of at least USD 250,000 to an Approved Public Benefit Project.

  3. Real Estate Acquisition:

    • Purchase real estate from an approved development: a minimum of USD 325,000 for a condominium unit or USD 600,000 for a single-family dwelling.

    • Real estate can be resold after seven years under certain conditions.

Procedure:

Applicants must go through a thorough due diligence process, which includes background checks and a mandatory interview. Once the application is approved, applicants will receive a Certificate of Registration, which grants citizenship and the ability to apply for a passport.

Fees:

The total fees depend on the chosen investment option and the number of family members included in the application. A portion of the fees is paid into an escrow account and is released once the application is submitted.

Dual Citizenship:

St. Kitts and Nevis allows dual citizenship, enabling applicants to enjoy the benefits of both their original and new nationality.
